Forward Deployed Engineer

Location: London (Hybrid – 1-2 days/week in office)   

Reports to: Head of Product   

Core Responsibilities   

• Build and deploy custom simulation solutions directly with clients  
• Develop Java-based applications for business needs  
• Own end-to-end delivery from client requirements to production deployment
• Integrate massive-scale data into simulation & AI frameworks  
• Collaborate with engineering team on architecture decisions for simulation platform  
• Work directly with client stakeholders, from technical teams to executives  
• Rapidly prototype and iterate solutions based on client feedback  
• Drive projects from ideation through deployment with high autonomy  

Essential Requirements   

• MSc or above with computer science or AI background. 
• Ability to work directly with clients and translate business needs to technical solutions   
• Strong proficiency in Java   
• Working knowledge of Python for data processing and analysis   
• Experience with large-scale data processing and integration   
• Strong problem-solving skills with complex technical challenges   
• Comfortable in dynamic environment with evolving requirements   
• 1-2 years relevant post-university experience 
• Willingness to travel occasionally to client sites (10-20%)   

Nice to Have   

• C++ experience for performance-critical components  
• Supply chain, logistics, or operations research background  
• Experience with simulation frameworks or modeling tools  
• Fintech or quantitative analysis experience  
• Client-facing technical consulting experience
